I finally went to my first official wedding!!!!!! It was very exciting, although less so because I woke up with the spins after a heavy night of drinking and cavorting with unknown Korean men. This I attribute to the new teacher, Taylor or Tlyer, two (punny!) many pitchers of soju cocktail, possibly too many pitchers of makeju, and the Sue/Justin combo who somehow magically lost me between the ladies' room and the noraebang.
May Teacher got married to a very very cute Korean last weekend, so I thought that she deserved a blog update... May looked *so* beautiful in her dresses (2 during the ceremony, plus multiple others for the pre-wedding wedding photos)! She looked like someone in a bridal magazine. I was too lazy to bring a camera, so I'll steal a picture from Justin and Sue (or J and S as I'm sure they'd like to be referred to as):
DURING the wedding, as the smoke machines poured and the bubble machines bubbled, and May teetered around on 21 cm heels, there was a "dress minder" who arranged May's dress every time she moved so that the photographer (who was running in circles around her) was able to get as many great pictures as possible. Mind you, a slide show if May and In-Song was playing on the Big Screen, and about half the guests were outside socializing. The reception, photos (one with the close families, one with May's family, one with In-Song's family, one with the friends), and dinner with super heavy forks took about an hour. Once we finished, we hustled out so that the next wedding could use the area. I may have made up some of those photo details, but you know how things are with me.
Bona Teacher ALSO had a wedding that day (but six years earlier). It's supposed to be a "lucky" day to get married on (according to Bona). Go figure.
Then I went home to nurse my hangover.
