Field Trip #1

We went to the museum! I was really impressed with how well the kids behaved. We did some traditional Korean screenprinting, and looked a bunch of diaplays. We had a great lunch under a pagoda/gazebo at the top of a hill with a waterfall on the side. It was gorgeous.

The parents of the kids are great too... they send us food daily at the school, so we have delicious food on hand at all times. Sometimes it's dokk (tasty bean paste food), today it was fruit (fantastic huge peaches which turned to juice once they hit my lips), sometimes these ultra-pungent grapes, or street vendor boiled chewy corn, or this spicy Korean dish whose name escapes me at the moment... cherry tomatoes... cakes... anything! It's great!

From the field trip:

I'd also like to add that I'm in the back row on the right... and that I'm not an average sized person standing next to the kids, I'm sitting on the same step as them. (In case any of you thought that I had shrunk since I left). Also in the photo: Whitney (below me), Zach (in front), Sue (behind him), and May (near the back left). There are 3 other teachers and kindergarten classes who went on a different day.

Wow, your kids look very cute. I love the teacher stories, too fun. Oh, and I still can't conjugate properly!

Love you, Teacher Kathryn.
