Halloween Kiddies

My Kindi class dressed up in some great costumes for Halloween... Spiderman, Superman (complete with shorts and white knee socks!!!), a ghost/pumpkin, a magician/Spiderman, a Knight, a skeleton/witch, a princess, another knight, and the Grim Reaper. All 70 of the kids went to a nearby park where EVERYONE'S mom was waiting with a big bag of candy for Trick or Treating. After sugaring the kids up, we had a fashion show, a pumpkin carving contest, then back to school where the teachers collapsed from sheer exhaustion. I'll post some pictures later, but trust me, they're cute. I bought a "Black devil" costume which consisted of black ears, a black furry bowtie, and a black furry tail, all child sized. I wore black to pass it off as a cat, but the kids still thought I was a panda.

This weekend was pretty relaxed: all I want to do is sleep, but I went into Seoul with A and G anyway. I only had 14000W until payday, so I had to take some $$ out of my Cdn account. Since taking ANY out would fuck me over if Rose cashes her board cheques for my Giant White Money Pit stabled in her backyard, I took out 200 000W, because I'm screwed either way. Eep. Must e-mail Rose and beg her not to cash the cheque yet. Or call the Royal Bank to get overdraft. Probably the latter.

I can't remember if I wrote about this, but I saw a man selling these hairbands (v. cute!!!), and I waned one, but he wanted 3000W for them... so with my broken Korean I tried to haggle him down to 1000W, but he wasn't interested in giving me a discount, but he was very very friendly. He was also severely delayed. Anyway, he was having none of my haggling, so A, G, L, C, and I left. Later on at the Drumming festival, he just HAPPENED to sit next to us and nearly fell over when he saw me again. So to make a long story short, I saw the man again, and he TOTALLY remembered me because he put this big grin on his face and pretend-put-on a hairband and held up three fingers. Woo!

Remember the man selling corn on the subway who gave me the gum? Well, this week I saw him again, and he gave me a Korean throat candy, like Halls, but with more sugar and less mentho-lyptus.

You are the person I know that take an innocuous cat/panda costume and give "pussy galore" a run for her money; sort of gives new meaning to "sex kitten".

re: Panda comment: I asked the Panda girl today where the closest zoo is, and she said "Panda". Then I asked her what her name was. "Panda". I think it's the only word that she knows.
