Once we arrived on the East Coast, freezing out bums off at 5 am, I/we realized that the man whose seat I comandeered (right word???) was actually the tour leader. Le sigh.
The sunrise on the beach was spectacular. We walked around the little town for a while, and wow, they had the coolest hourglass! It was a giant (maybe 15 or 20 feet high) circular thing with enough sand for a year, and on New Year's Eve, they turn it over. Very cool. There were also big carvings of the Chinese Zodiac animals on the beach.
After the beachy tour, we got on out tour bus and headed for Sorak Mountain. I must make a comment on the bus. It had blue/aqua/lavendar ruffly trim with lace on the bottom, and the front had another get-up that looked like the love child of Aladdin and the Little Mermaid, if I may make a delightful Disney reference. I would like to ad that the microphone man on this bus was also the man whose seat I stole.

The mountain was beautiful.... I can't even describe it properly. It was a moderatley challenging hike, and had spectacular views. We went to a famous palace as well, which was gorgeous.

Then we went to ANOTHER cute little seaside town to have raw fish (sliced up from a fish that you choose from a tank), which I gracefully bowed out of as I hid with the 3 vegitarians. They also have that "live" octopus in this town. You know, the one that can suction your throat?
Um, then a very long trip home. Sorry for the anti-climax.
I took a lot of pictures, so I put them here:
